Born and raised in Chicago. Living and learning in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m the friend with an iPhone photo album of ‘cool public health infrastructure’ snapshots from my travels around the world (e.g., sight lines lining the metro stations of Tokyo, automated external defibrillator [AED] towers dotting the intersections of Nice, free, citywide WiFi in Mexico City, etc.) I completed my Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2017 with a focus in Community Health Sciences and haven’t stopped thinking of public health since. I’m particularly drawn to the intersection of public health and technology due to my own use of a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and insulin pump, which I’ve hacked to function as a closed-loop system to manage my type 1 diabetes.
I love early-stage, foundational research and am attracted to opportunities that enable me to live in alignment with my values: curiosity, connection, gratitude, and creativity. In my free time, I’m practicing clawhammer banjo, throwing pottery in my garage studio, growing brassica in my garden, or crouched over taking photos of flowers on my hikes around the Bay Area.
